Whiskey Girl + Icebox Coffee Giveaway and Recipe

You know we love cocktails around here, so partnering with Whiskey Girl was a no-brainer! We met the folks at Whiskey Girl at 2016's Atlanta Food & Wine Festival, and instantly, we were smitten. These whiskeys have just a kiss of natural flavor to give you a smooth taste on the rocks or in your favorite cocktail. We love the stuff. We're partial to the Butterscotch, but you can also pick up Whiskey Girl in Apple Maple and Peach!

Coffee and whiskey work so great together, you don't need to do much to make a stunningly delicious drink in less than a minute. Read on for a simple recipe, plus a giveaway!

Ingredients

1 ounce Whiskey Girl Butterscotch Whiskey

2 ounces Icebox Coffee Cold Brew Concentrate, flavor of choice

2 ounces milk, half & half, almond milk, dairy of choice

 

Instructions

Combine whiskey, cold brew and milk in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake gently to combine, then pour into a rocks glass. Enjoy!

Iced Vanilla Latte

A fresh, homemade simple syrup makes everything better, especially when it's made with a fragrant vanilla bean. Vanilla is one of our favorite flavors (How could it not be? We love our Madagascar Vanilla!), and using it in a creamy, refreshing latte is the best way to welcome springtime!

This vanilla simple syrup can be infused into all of your cold brew beverages with ease. Give our Madagascar Vanilla more of a sweet kick, or mix it in to Magic City Mocha for a smooth flavor. Vanilla really shines in our New Orleans Style.

Ingredients

For the simple syrup:

2 cups sugar

2 cups water

2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract

1 vanilla bean (optional)

For the latte:

Icebox Coffee New Orleans Blend Concentrate

Milk of choice (almond, cashew, 2%, etc.)

Instructions

In a medium sauce pan over medium heat, bring sugar and water to a boil. Cook until the mixture thickens, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and vanilla bean paste. Allow to cool. Keep in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

Add Icebox Coffee New Orleans Style concentrate, milk and vanilla syrup to taste to a glass. Shake and serve over ice.

    Irish Coffee

    Aside from a random cold front that hit the South this week, we've been easing into spring with style at Icebox HQ. Sipping on this Irish Coffee made with our New Orleans Style concentrate has certainly made our days more delightful! Grab the recipe below to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, or to welcome springtime!

    Ingredients

    One ounce Irish Whiskey
    Two parts Icebox New Orleans Style Concentrate
    One ounce Baileys Irish cream
    Splash of cream (half & half or almond milk)

    Instructions

    Pour whiskey and Icebox concentrate in a glass and stir over ice. Pour in Baileys and a splash of half & half.
